CCA Review of the RET releases its final report

Today, the Climate Change Authority released its final report into the review of the Renewable Energy Target. The Authority largely recommends leaving the Large Scale Renewable Energy Target in place without major amendment.

AGL has consistently argued that the Large Scale Renewable Energy Target should be retained in its current form. Certainty in relation to long-term energy policy settings is critically important for maintaining investor confidence. The cost impacts for consumers in relation to large scale renewable energy are relatively small. AGL is pleased that the policy continues to have bi-partisan support.
